PM meets General Director of GCC Radio and TV institution
SANA'A, Feb. 28 (Saba) - Prime Minister Ali Mujawar met here on
Saturday with the General Director of Radio and TV Institution of
Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) States Abdullah Saeed Abu Ras.
During the meeting, Mujawar expressed his appreciation of the
decision of the GCC countries' leaders related to joining Yemen to
the Radio and TV Institution of GCC and the other institutions,
indicating that the ties with GCC go on confidently towards the
entire joining of Yemen to GCC.
Mujawar pointed to the significance of establishing a real
information partnership between Yemeni Radio and TV Corporation and
GCC Radio and TV Institution, especially in field of producing joint
broadcasts so as to enhance the ties and the exerted efforts for
developing the radio and TV activities.
For his part, Abu Ras expressed his satisfaction for the decision of
joining Yemen to this Gulf information institution, demonstrating
the radio and TV qualitative tasks and activities carried out by the
institution for developing the joint radio and TV works between
Yemen and GCC countries which reach 20 works a year.
Several joint committees have been formed with Yemen to determine
the work priorities of the coming phase, Abu Ras added.
Furthermore, Abu Ras handed over to the premier a Memorial Shield on
the occasion of joining Yemen officially to the Radio and TV
Institution of GCC.
