Minister receives BASTCO delegation

Manama, Mar. 1 (BNA): Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Dr. Abdulhussain Mirza received BASTCO Solar Trading Company Managing Director Issa Jassim Sayar and its chief executive officer, Jamal Al Ghawi. The minister welcomed the participants and praised the company's efforts in the fields of renewable energy, especially solar energy, and their ambitions to participate in projects in this field in Bahrain and neighboring countries. The visitors briefed the minister on the company’s plans to establish close cooperation with the Electricity and Water Authority. The minister said they welcomed cooperation with local and international companies and institutions in all fields in the field of electricity, water and renewable energy. The visiting delegation thanked the minister and officials for the welcome and the hospitality and for opening up prospects for cooperation with companies working in the field of solar energy. The meeting was attended by Dr. Ahmed Hashem, Advisor to the Minister and Alexander Samahiji, Advisor to the Sustainable Energy Unit.
