Bahrain hosts UN's Climate Change, Sustainable Development workshop 06 : 06 PM - 05/03/2018 Manama, Mar. 5 (BNA): Chief Executive of the Supreme Council for Environment, Dr. Mohammed Mubarak bin Dainah, in a statement to Bahrain News Agency, said hosting a United Nation’s workshop on Climate Change and Sustainable Development by Bahrain reflects its key role in the same field.  Bin Dainah, highlighted the importance of the workshop in taking action to respond to climate change phenomenon. Saying representatives from more than 30 countries who seek to achieve economic diversification under the Paris Agreement participate in the workshop. The workshop is held under the patronage of the SCE Chief Executive and organized on March 5-8 in collaboration between the SCE, UN Climate Change Secretariat and International Labour Union. Ways of calculating common benefits, promoting environmental safety will be discussed, in addition to introducing capacity-building approaches related to decent work opportunities.
