MWL's Global Center condemns Lior Shlein's mocking of Mary,

Makkah, March 01, SPA -- The Global Center for the Introduction of
Prophet Mohammed (Peace Be upon Him), an affiliate of the Muslim
World League (MWL) has denounced the blasphemy and mocking of Virgin
Mary, Prophet Jesus and Prophet Mohammed (Peace be upon them all)
aired by Israeli Channel-10 in its program entitled "Tonight with
Lior Shlein" on Tuesday, 24/02/2009 and in its Hebrew version titled
"Survivor" on Tuesday, 17/02/2009.

In a press statement, the Secretary-General of the Center, Dr. Adel
Ali Al Sheddi said "This terrible defamation against the two Apostles
of Allah is a grave crime, which is prohibited by the divine laws
revealed by Allah on His Prophets - Moses, Jesus and Mohammad (Peace
be upon them all).


"Allah warns seriously against those who dare to mock the respected
and honorable prophets of His as is revealed in the Holy Quran:
"Mocked were (many) Messengers before thee; but their scoffers were
hemmed in by the thing that they mocked." ( S6-V10); and "For
sufficient are We unto thee against those who scoff" (S17- V95) ; and
also "Those who annoy Allah and His Messenger, Allah has cursed them
in this world and in the Hereafter, and has prepared for them a
humiliating Punishment" (S33-V57).

Al Sheddi also said that the international charters and
humanitarian norms reject the abuse of the Prophets and Messengers of
Allah, and view such (practice) as "Blasphemy and threat to peace and
stability in the world".
