Southern Governorate adopts large projects

Manama, Mar. 12 (BNA): HH Southern Governor Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa praised the directives of HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa to speed up the implementation of service projects in the Southern Governorate, which reflects his keenness to improve public services.  The governor said the governorate has adopted an initiative to construct a cluster of service projects to benefit citizens, which will be responsible for bringing comprehensive development in the governorate at various levels.  Adding the initiative was adopted after conducting several field visits and communicating with citizens on many occasions to learn about their needs.  He said a health center would be constructed in collaboration with the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning to serve residents of Jow, Asker and Al-Dour amid the urban expansion seen in the same villages. He added the kidney dialysis center in Hunainiyah is in its final construction stages. He also pointed out HRH the Premier’s directives to revamp Riffa Market and to launch development works in Ain Al-Hunainiyah Park to accentuate its historical significance and Bahrain’s Arab identity.  He elaborated that during meeting HRH the Premier many social projects were discussed, which will contribute to promoting social cohesion.  He noted the first pilot school for girls to be constructed in the governorate, comprising primary, intermediate secondary stages, which will be equipped with the latest technology in education.
