Iran FM confers with Georgian official
Tehran, March 2, IRNA -
Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki held talks on Sunday with Georgian
Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Nalbandov on the issues of bilateral
relations and international developments.
Mottaki said, in the meeting, ensuring peace and tranquility to the
region of Caucasus would bring expansion of cooperation between the
regional countries which is the Islamic Republic of Iran?s will.
For his part, Nalbandov urged boosting of Tehran-Tbilisi ties and
continuation of holding talks among the tow nations.
He also said the two states can promote cooperation in various fields
based on the mutual interests.
The Georgian official, meanwhile, hoped that the two countries would
open a new chapter in their bilateral relations.
