HRH Premier receives British researcher

Manama, Mar. 20 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received at Gudaibiya Palace today British researcher Howard King who presented him with copies of his two books on Muharraq and Bahrain's birds. HRH the Premier praised the efforts made in compiling the two books which, he said, represent an addition and an important reference for specialised researchers in Bahrain's history, in general, and Muharraq, in particular, as well as people interested in the different types of birds in Bahrain. He praised the content of the two books, wishing the British researcher more success. On his part, the British researcher extended heartfelt thanks and respect to HRH the Prime Minister for his care and support to researchers, commending co-existence characterising the Bahraini people and the kingdom's progress at all levels. It is to note that the first book on Muharraq was compiled and supervised by Shaikh Hussam bin Isa Al Khalifa who wrote a dedication to HRH the Premier on behalf of Muharraq citizens. The book sheds light on Bahrain's glorious history and Muharraq's, in particular. Meanwhile, the second book provides pictures and information about the different types of birds in the kingdom which could be seen permanently or seasonally.
