The Assistant Foreign Minister noted that the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Co-existence reflects the keenness of HM the King on the importance of peaceful coexistence and the promotion of dialogue among different cultures and religions, reflecting the principles of the Kingdom of Bahrain based on the preservation of freedoms and respect for religious, intellectual and cultural diversity and the promotion of tolerance among all people. He pointed out that the pioneering civilizational initiatives taken by HM the King to promote tolerance and peaceful co-existence between all peoples with all their religious, ethnic and cultural affiliations constitute an extension of the humanitarian message of His Majesty to the world. The Assistant Foreign Minister affirmed that the establishment of the center would contribute to strengthening the bridges of communication between all peoples and support the efforts of the international community in maintaining security and peace by rejecting extremism regardless of its image and hate speeches regardless of their foundations. The Assistant Foreign Minister noted that the Center will play a vital role through its various activities in promoting the embrace of the principles of friendship, respect and human rapprochement, which reflects the heritage of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and its continuous efforts to achieve security and peace based on the principles and objectives of the Charter of the United Nations and activities related to the culture of peace, including those of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), as well as the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO). The Assistant Minister recalled what was stated by HM the King and published by the foreign press on October 10: "The religious diversity of the Kingdom is a blessing for the people of Bahrain, which is based on a long tradition of coexistence and spiritual and cultural tolerance", and "the society of Bahrain is a model for all the peoples of the earth, living side by side with people of different faiths and civilizations in an atmosphere filled with friendliness and familiarity and harmony between the components and segments of society, whether they are citizens or residents who came from different parts of the earth ". HM the King explained that "it is important for the world to know, as Bahrain has known, the beauty of these differences between humans, and how these differences can teach us many lessons, including the lesson of religious tolerance", affirming that "religious freedom should not be viewed as a problem, but a very real solution to many of the greatest challenges facing our world, especially terrorism that knows no religion, and threatens all peace-loving peoples ".
