HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad congratulates leadership

Manama, Mar. 25 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports, President of West Asia Athletics Federation and President of Bahrain Athletics Association, congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, and His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa the Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, on Bahrain’s winning the third place in the IAAF Half Marathon Championship in Valencia, obtaining three medals.
HH Shaikh Khalid affirmed that the latest international accomplishment was the fruition of the continuous patronage by HM King Hamad of youth and sports in Bahrain, and his directives towards the significant representation of Bahrain in all international functions.
His Highness also stressed that such an achievement was a great celebration of the Bahraini champions’ epic performance.
HH Shaikh Khalid praised the Bahraini sprinters for their exceptional aptitudes that made them the best ambassadors of Bahrain and Arab sports.
His Highness also praised the great role of the administrative, technical and media teams in the achievement.
"We are looking at this international accomplishment with great pride after we surpassed our rivals from around 200 countries in this international championship and bag three medals that reflected the prestigious position of Bahraini athletics," HH Shaikh Khalid said. "We promise our wise leadership that we will continue to exert more efforts in all upcoming athletic events for the sake of the Bahraini flag."
