HM King holds call with Saudi monarch

Manama, Mar. 26 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa held a telephone call today with Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. He affirmed Bahrain's strong condemnation of the missile attack by Iran-backed Houthi militias on populated cities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including Riyadh. He stressed that the cowardly terrorist attack is in breach with all religions and international principles HM King Hamad lauded the competence and readiness of the Saudi royal air defence forces which intercepted the missiles and destroyed them before reaching their targets. He underlined Bahrain's constant support to Saudi Arabia in all measures taken to confront those hostile acts and maintain its security, stability and people's safety. HM the King emphasised that the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is an integral part of the security of Bahrain and the region. He prayed to Allah the Almighty to protect Saudi Arabia and its people and bless it with permanent security, stability and prosperity under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. King Salman expressed thanks and respect to HM the King for his fraternal feelings and for Bahrain's inherent and honourable stances which reflect deep-rooted brotherly ties binding both countries and peoples. He wished Bahrain further progress and prosperity under the leadership of HM the King.
