GS Engineering wins US$258 mln deal from Singapore

SEOUL, March 3 (Yonhap) -- GS Engineering & Construction Co., South Korea's
second-largest builder by sales, said Tuesday it has signed a US$258.6 million
preliminary deal with the Singaporean government to build a subway rolling stock
base.

GS Engineering formed a consortium with Hock Lian Seng Infrastructure Ltd. of
Singapore to win the deal, the South Korean builder said.
GS Engineering and Hock Lian Seng Infrastructure hold a 50-50 stake in the
project. The consortium will complete construction by 2015, GS Engineering said.
