The delegation met Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, and discussed the most prominent issues on the international scene, where the delegation valued Russian political positions on Arab issues specifically, and international issues in general. The delegation also met MP Leonid Slutsky, Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs in the Russian State Duma. The Bahraini parliamentary delegation stressed the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in consolidating common relations in all fields. The delegation pointed out that the Bahraini Council of Representatives has activated the role of parliamentary diplomacy in foreign posts, won the confidence of parliamentarians, and obtained leading positions in them, for example, the current chairman of the Gulf Legislative Councils, Vice-Chairman of the Arab Parliament, Vice-Chairman of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly, Member of the Committee on the Rights of Parliamentarians in the International Parliament, and many leading positions in parliamentary committees. The delegation also met with Vinamin Popov,Coordinator of the Strategic Vision Group "Russia - The Islamic World". In addition, members of the Parliamentary Friendship Committee between the Russian Federation and the Kingdom of Bahrain held a joint meeting.
