Al-Aiban delivers Kingdom's speech at UN Human Rights Council
Geneva, March 02, SPA -- United Nations Human Rights Council started
here today its 10th session which will last until 27th of March.
Dr. Bandar bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, President of Saudi Human Rights
Commission (SHRC), led the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's delegation to
the Conference.
In a speech before the meeting, Dr. Al-Aiban stressed the Saudi
support for the efforts exerted by the United Nations High
Commissioner for Human Rights to enhance and protect human rights
across the world.
He pointed out to the Saudi comprehensive periodical report in which
the Kingdom highlighted its policy of enhancing and protecting human
rights.
He cited the set up of King Abdulaziz Center for National Dialogue
designed to spread out the culture of human rights and expand the
basis of participation and freedom of expression all over the
Kingdom.
