Zero tolerance of tendentious calls vowed

Manama, Mar. 30 (BNA): Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Commander of the Royal Guard, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee Brigadier Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa stressed that the malicious attempts on social media websites to sow sedition by disseminating fallacies and rumours require a decisive stand against suspicious calls to undermine the strong and deep-rooted relationship between HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, HRH the Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, and the peaceful Bahraini people. Brigadier Shaikh Nasser called on all citizens to ignore the tendentious social media accounts as well as the rumours and fallacies posted on them to defame the kingdom’s leadership and people, which contravene Bahrain’s inherent customs and traditions. He underlined the need for the competent authorities to deal firmly with all attempts to jeopardise civil peace and sow discord. He also pledged zero tolerance of any attempt to tamper with the pillars of the state, defame HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, HRH the Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, and spread fallacies and rumours.
