Royal support for Mara'ee 4 hailed

Manama, Mar. 30 (BNA): Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister, Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf, today inspected the Bahrain Animal Production Show 2018 (Mara’ee 4), praising the royal patronage of the fourth edition of the edition, which, he said, has contributed to its success. His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s patronage has stimulated efforts aimed at consolidating food security and increasing local production at all levels, the minister said. He praised the outstanding organisation of the event, and the turnout of vistors, which, he said, exceeded the expectations as more than 50,000 visited the exhibition on its third day. The minister toured the exhibition’s pavilions and sections, stressing the need to take advantage of Mara’ee’s success to launch practical programmes that may contribute to enhancing animal production. He praised the role played by the private sector in boosting food security, stressing that the exhibition is an opportunity to strengthen public-private sector partnership. The minister attended some artistic shows, and honoured the winners in contests held on the sidelines of Mara’ee 4.
