Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques chairs cabinet session
Riyadh, March 02, SPA -- The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King
Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the cabinet session held here
today at Al-Yamamah Palace.
At the outset of the session, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques
thanked and praised the Almighty Allah for the success of the
surgical operation performed on Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al
Saud, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector
General, asking the Almighty Allah to protect the Crown Prince and
grant him the blessing of health and wellbeing.
In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the
session, Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin
Mohieddin Khoja said the Cabinet expressed its appreciation for the
speech delivered by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques after the
chairman and members of the Shoura (Consultative) Council took oath
before him and in which the king stressed his appreciation for the
council and hope to receive consultation to achieve the desired
goals, wishing success to everybody.
Minister Khoja said the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques briefed the
Cabinet on the talks, consultations, messages and contacts he
conducted during the previous days with some heads of state and their
envoys including the messages the monarch received from President
Bashar Al-Assad, President of the Syrian Arab Republic, and Sheikh
Sabah Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah, the Emir of the State of Kuwait.
These consultations focused on the developments in the region, the
world, Arab relations and Arab unity.
Dr. Khoja stated that the Cabinet valued the comprehensive
significance of the message of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques
King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz to President Mohamed Hosni Mubarak of the
Arab Republic of Egypt on the occasion of the achievement Egypt made
with the Palestinian Authority, Hamas, and the Palestinian factions
for settling the dispute and reconciliation for the best interests of
the brethren in Palestine and the Arab and Islamic world.
