Minister receives Indian company officials

Manama, Apr.10 (BNA): Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Dr. Abdulhussain Mirza received a delegation from leading Indian water treatment company Ion Exchange, led by its Chairman and Managing Director Rajesh Sharma, who was accompanied by company officials. The minister praised the company's projects in various fields at the local, regional and global levels. Ion Exchange is a pioneer in water treatment projects with more than five decades of experience and is recognized internationally as an efficient company in water and environment management.  In 2016, the company implemented a $5 million project in the Hidd region to mix petrochemical materials and provide them use in production companies. The visitors expressed their desire to take part in renewable energy projects in addition to water projects according to the available opportunities. Sharma and his accompanying delegation thanked and appreciated the minister and officials for their warm welcome and cooperation in areas of mutual interest. The meeting was attended by the minister’s Advisor Dr. Ahmed Hashem and Electricity and Water Authority Executive Vice President of Distribution and Customer Services Adnan Mohammed Fakhro.
