Watani Bahrain Society to be launched

Manama, Apr. 17 (BNA): Watani Bahrain Society is organising its inauguration ceremony and a seminar on protecting the national identity and boosting loyalty and belonging at Bahrain Society of Engineers’ hall, in Jufair, on April 18. Advisor to His Majesty the King for Media Affairs Nabil bin Yaqoob Al Hamar will patronise the celebration and give the inaugural speech on the occasion. The ceremony will also feature a speech by the society Board of Directors and national poems to be recited by poets Ibrahim Al Ansari and Hanadi Al Jowder. The society will announce during the celebration its future initiatives and projects. The seminar will bring together speakers, including Shura Council member Dr. Mansour Sarhan and the Director of Isa Cultural Centre National Library alongside Istiqlal Ahmed Al Zamel and Deputy Head of Bahrain Writers Community Dr. Rashid Najam. Watani Bahrain Society was founded mainly to promote the culture of national identity, boost belonging and responsibility for the nation and the community, foster community partnership, encourage preserving heritage and Bahrain’s customs and traditions and enhance the spirit of patriotism, volunteerism, tolerance and co-existence.
