Representatives Council welcomes Arab Summit's outcomes

Manama, Apr. 18 (BNA): The Council of Representatives has welcomed the success of the 29th Arab Summit, which was held recently in the Al-Dhahran city, Saudi Arabia, where His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa headed the kingdom’s delegation. It praised the "constructive, positive and fruitful" outcomes of summit, noting that they will serve joint Arab action, and strengthen Arab unity in facing and addressing the challenges facing the Arab Nation. The Council of Representatives lauded the Final Communique of the "Jerusalem Summit", citing the resolutions that support Bahrain’s measures to safeguard its security from foreign interference in its domestic affairs, and back its efforts in combating terrorist groups aiming to undermine its security and stability. The council cited Clause (9) of the communique, which expressed full-fledged support for the measures taken by Bahrain to protect its security and capabilities from foreign interference, and called on the International Community totighten sanctions against Iran and its militias, as well as to prevent it from backing terrorist groups. The Representatives Council lauded the content and themes embedded in the address of HM the King at the summit, noting that they embodied the Kingdom’s firm stances towards various Arab issues, as well as its support of Arab solidarity. It also praised the wise chairmanship of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of the summit, and praised the strenuous efforts exerted by Saudi Arabia to ensure its success.
