Minister meets citizens

Manama, Apr. 21 (BNA): Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Dr. Abdulhussain Mirza met a number of citizens to listen to their comments and suggestions regarding power and water supplies. Dr. Mirza said such comments and suggestions were always welcome, and said anyone could come to his office at any time in this context. This, he said, was according to the directives of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, who had always emphasised the importance of an Open-Door Policy for all citizens. He said direct communication with the people, and listening to their complaints were a key to the Electricity and Water Authority’s (EWA) providing top class and quality services. Dr. Mirza said such a dialogue would also help improve services wherever needed. The citizens thanked the minister for the meeting. They praised EWA's Open-Door Policy, saying they felt involved in its functioning. The minister said such meetings were an on-going process and would be repeated periodically. He said anyone wishing to meet him could call his office on 17996777 to arrange a suitable date and time for the meeting.
