RI SEEKS INVESTORS FROM CZECH-ASIAN BUSINESS FORUM
London, March 4 (ANTARA) - House of Representatives (DPR) Commission-I deputy chairman Yusron Ihza Mahendra, in the
Czech-Asian Forum in Prague on Tuesday, sought investors for several projects in Indonesia.
During the annual meeting of Czech-Asian Forum from March 2-3 which was opened by Czech Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek, Yusron unveiled about investment opportunities in the country including in agro-industrial sector.
Yusron on the function which was also attended by Czech's ranking officials, businessmen and diplomats, elaborated about the dynamic ASEAN economy including that of Indonesian since the 1997 crisis, Azis Nurwahyudi of the Indonesian Embassy in Prague told Antara's correspondent in London.
Citing example of investment opportunity, the legislator talked about the planning to continue feasibility study of Yogyakarta airport and the railway infrastructure development in Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta, Central Java.
In addition, Yusron said that Indonesia viewed Czech as an entry gate to European Union (EU) for the country's export commodities, a source of investment, financial cooperation and in term of strategic industry such as aircraft industry.
Apart from Indonesia, representatives of other Asian countries who spoke in the meeting were among others from China, Malaysia, Mongolia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Singapore, Pakistan and Iraq.
Czech Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek in his address said that Czech has had trade ties with Asian countries since ten years ago.
In the meantime, Czech's Deputy minister for industry and trade Martin Tlapa said his country should develop its trade relations at multilateral level.***
