Express Train project Contract for Two Holy Mosques Signed
Riyadh, March 04, SPA -- The Minister of Finance and Chairman of
Board of Directors of General Investment Fund, Dr. Ibrahim bin
Abdulaziz Al-Assaf and Minister of Transport and Chairman of Board of
Directors of General Organization for Railways, Dr. Jubarah bin Eid
Al-Suraiseri signed here today as representatives of the Government
of Saudi Arabia with Al-Rajhi Consortium a contract for the execution
of the civil works of the Express Train Project for the Two Holy
Mosques at a cost of SR 6,785,831,152.
A speech ceremony was held on this occasion.
Addressing the ceremony, Dr. Al-Suraiseri stressed that the project
is one of the most important transportation projects in Saudi Arabia
and represents one of the important elements in the program of
expanding the railway network, which has been approved by the
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud
to be implemented with government finances provided by specialized
funds.
He pointed that the contract will be executed in three years.
