Royal decision to commute death sentence hailed

Berlin, Apr. 28 (BNA): German Commissioner for Human Rights Policy and Humanitarian Aid Bärbel Kofler hailed the royal order of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to commute to life imprisonment the death sentence handed down to four convicts in terror cases and upheld by the Court of Cassation. Bahraini Ambassador to Germany Abdullah Abdullatif Abdullah expressed respect of the stance of the German Commissioner for Human Rights Policy and Humanitarian Aid , stressing autonomy and transparency of Bahrain’s judiciary.
