Public Security Chief visits Coastguard

Manama, Apr.28 (BNA): Chief of Public Security, Major-General Tariq Al Hassan has visited the Coast Guard headquarters, where he was received by the Coast Guard Commander, Brigadier Alaa Siyadi and some officers. During the visit, the Chief was briefed about the developments of the Coast Guards, including its advanced devices and tools and the training plans and programmes, such as specialised courses to enhance the skills of the personnel. The Chief also visited the Muharraq Coast Guard Base and was informed about the progress of the establishment of the new maintenance base and other renovation operations to improve provided services. The Chief highlighted the essential role of the Coast Guard within the security system through the protection of the borders of Bahrain, valuing the support of the Interior Minister, especially in promoting human resources development. He said that the support of HE Interior Minister continues as part of the modernisation and development strategy of the Interior Ministry. He expressed thanks and appreciation to the Coast Guard personnel for their efforts and high performance, wishing them all the best in serving the nation. Meanwhile, the Coast Guard Commander appreciated the directives of the Interior Minister to develop the Coast Guard programmes and express thanks to the Chief for his dedication to reinforce security performance of the Coast Guard.
