HRH Premier receives Chinese ambassador

Manama, Apr. 29 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has stressed Bahrain’s keenness to ensure that its relations with China always remain solid, and that cooperation with it progresses steadily in order to serve their development policies, as well as their efforts to safeguard security and stability in the region and the world. HRH Premier pointed out that the latest developments in Asia support global peace and achieve peace for everyone, noting that China, being a major power, has its political and economic weight and is an essential pillar in the international security and development system. The Prime Minister made the statements while receiving the newly-appointed Chinese Ambassador to Bahrain, An Wa’er, at Gudaibiya Palace today. HRH Premier lauded the solid relations with friendly China, saying that he is looking forward to more exchanged visits between officials in the two countries to increase bilateral cooperation and coordination in various fields. The Prime Minister expressed Bahrain’s keenness to build strategic partnerships with countries that share with its international development and security goals, including China. HRH Premier stressed that Bahrain is proud of its ties with China, which, he said, are based on mutual respect and achievement of common interests. He highlighted the importance of consolidating cooperation with China in various sectors, particularly economy and investment, commending the efforts being exerted by China to enhance cooperation between countries of the world, and to strengthen the pillars of an economic partnership that benefits all peoples of the entire world. HRH Premier called for the need to continue the efforts to safeguard global security and peace, given China’s great political and economic weight in Asia and the world. HRH the Prime Minister said that the new ambassador will be provided with all kinds of support to enhance the strategic relations between the two countries. Ambassador Anwaer said that the Chinese government and people allocate special importance to Bahrain for its effective role in the Gulf Cooperation Council, and for being China’s gateway to the countries of the region. He affirmed his country’s keenness on opening up new horizons of cooperation with Bahrain to support common interests.
