Shaikh Nasser congratulated on sports achievement

Manama, Apr. 30 (BNA): The Ambassador of Bahrain to the US, Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa, has extended his congratulations to the Representative to His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and the Bahrain Olympic Committee President, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa on winning the Iron Man North American Championship under 49 age category in Texas. The ambassador described this great sport achievement as a result of the support offered by the leadership and adds to the series of the previous sports achievements made by HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa for Bahrain. He said that the achievement also comes as a result of the efforts made by HH in preparation for this important competitive contest. Shaikh Nasser’s sports achievements stand for an exemplary model that will inspire Bahraini youth and embolden them to participate in sports championships and raise the Kingdom’s flag at international sporting events. The ambassador remarked that this is the second time HH participates in sporting event in the US in less than a year, which reflects a distinctive image of the Kingdom in the various US states. The Iron Man North American Championship has attracted 17,500 people from across the United States and the world. The endurance team “13”, established by HH Shaikh Nasser has pushed the Bahraini sports scene towards universality.
