Bahrain-India millennia-old ties hailed

Kerala, May 1 (BNA): The Lulu International Bolgatty Convention Centre and the Grand Hyatt Hotel opened their doors officially in the state of Kerala, India.
Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa attended, as Guest of Honour, the inauguration ceremony which was held in the state of Kerala early this week, at the invitation of the Lulu Group International chairman Yusuff Ali.
Held under the patronage of Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, the inaugural event was attended by UAE Minister of Tolerance Shaikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al-Nahyan and other senior officials, businessmen and invitees from all over the world.
Addressing the event, Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa hailed the inauguration of the Lulu International Bolgatty Convention Centre and the Grand Hyatt Hotel, which signal the global expansion of the Lulu Group International, as well as the diversification of its activities to include the hospitality sector.
He commended the contribution of the Indian expatriate community to Bahrain’s development and progress, citing particularly the Keralites who exceed 200,000.
He highlighted the crucial role played by the Lulu Group International in consolidating the retail sector through its six branches, which impacts the national economy positively.
He lauded millennia-old historic relations binding the Kingdom of Bahrain and India, stressing the keenness of leaders and peoples of the two countries on further strengthening economic and trade ties.
The Deputy Premier wished the Lulu Group International, Lulu International Bolgatty Convention Centre and the Grand Hyatt Hotel every success.
