Bahraini reciter shines in Quran contest

Manama, May 23 (BNA): Bahraini Ali Youssef Isa ranked second in the Hashemite Quran Competition which was held recently in Jordan. Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Ministry Undersecretary for Islamic Affairs Dr. Fareed bin Yacoub Al-Meftah received the winner and congratulated him on his remarkable achievement. He paid tribute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa for his royal directives, lauding the Government’s strenuous support to all Quranic programmes and activities in Bahrain. He hailed the remarkable performance of the participant Ali Youssef Isa, which builds on a string of other Bahraini achievements in different international Quran competitions. The winner participated in the programmes which are held by the directorate of Quranic affairs which focus on honing Bahraini contenders’ skills to take part in different international competitions. The Kingdom of Bahrain is keen on taking part regularly in the annual Hashemite Quran Competition, which attracted this year reciters representing more than 62 countries in the world.
