HM King praises Muharraq citizens' patriotic stances

Manama, May 27 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa expressed appreciation of the patriotic stances of Muharraq citizens, praising their pioneering efforts and contributions that have contributed to the development of the homeland. HM the King today received scores of Muharraq citizens who congratulated him on the holy month of Ramadan and wished him abundant health and happiness to continue leading the development progress. HM the King exchanged greetings with the Muharraq citizens, saying Ramadan is a good opportunity to promote values of communication, harmony and national unity, wishing them and Bahrain many happy returns of the blessed occasion. Following the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, Shaikh Rashid bin Hassan Al Buainain, member of the Supreme Council for the Islamic Affairs, conveyed in his speech, Muharraq citizens' Ramadan greetings and allegiance to the royal leadership. He took pride in the development achievements made in various fields during the prosperous royal era. Al Buainain congratulated Bahrain’s royal leadership and people on the historical discovery of the oil fields in the Kingdom and highlighted the sport achievements that have boosted Bahrain international standing thanks to the royal support. He hailed the security forces' endeavour to maintain the homeland’s security and stability. He paid homage to those who lost their lives defending Bahrain’s sovereignty, wishing Bahrain further stability and security. Al Buainain expressed appreciation of the efforts of HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister in support of the Kingdom's development and prosperity. HM the King expressed delight in meeting Muharraq citizens to congratulate them on Ramadan and said a number of celebrations will be witnessed by Muharraq Governorate, mainly the education centennial since formal education was started in Muharraq, and the Pearl Trail project, which will be held under the royal patronage. HM the King took pride in the restoration programmes to renovate four old Muharraq neighbourhoods, including the palace of the great grandfather Isa bin Ali. Muharraq Governor Salman Bin Hindi presented HM the King a commemorative gift representing a painting of the four neighbourhoods, Al Mirri, Al Ammamrah, Bin Hindi and Al Qummurah, which HM the King has ordered to include in the renovation programme. Shaikha Haya bint Ali Al Khalifa presented HM the King a commemorative gift . Bin Hindi took pride in HM the king’s interest in supporting Muharraq citizens. He said the national development process and the royal reforms reflect Bahrain’s interest in prioritizing citizens and providing them with decent living conditions, education and health services. He congratulated HM the King and extended Ramadan greetings to HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, wishing Bahrain, Arab and Islamic nations further progress and prosperity.
