Al-Azhar extends condolences to HM King

Manama, June 5 (BNA): Al-Azhar Al-Sharif Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed al-Tayeb extended condolences to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on the sad demise of Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA) President His Highness Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid Al-Khalifa, who passed away early today morning. Al-Azhar Al-Sharif paid tribute to late HH Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid Al-Khalifa, hailing the outstanding role he had played in his lifetime to promote culture and thought in Bahrain, authoring books that document the Kingdom’s history over ages. It also extended condolences to Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ali bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa, praying to the Almighty to lay the deceased’s soul in eternal peace and give his family solace and fortitude.
