Morocco's ambassador pays tribute to late Shaikh Abdullah

Manama, June 6 (BNA): Ambassador of Morocco to Bahrain, Ahmed Rachid Khattabi, expressed sincere condolences to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the Royal Family over the late His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Khalid Al Khalifa, President of the Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs, who passed away on Tuesday. "Shaikh Abdullah bin Khalid was a unique personality who dedicated a lifetime in serving the nation selflessly, loyally, humanely, wisely and steadfastly," said the Moroccan ambassador, praying to Allah the Almighty to accommodate him in eternal peace in vastest paradises. "His Highness was keen on extending bridges of cultural cooperation to preserve our genuine heritage and shared values. His Highness patronized the Moroccan Cultural Days in Bahrain in his capacity as the chairman of the board of trustees of Isa Cultural Centre," said the ambassador. "Shaikh Abdullah used to caringly ask me about Morocco," recalled the ambassador. He also recalled with pride the valuable national contributions of the late Shaikh Abdullah who always upheld the principles of forgiveness, openness and faithfulness."
