Symposium on Dialogue of Cultures between West and Islam

Riyadh, March 07, SPA -- Within the cultural activities of
Al-Janadria's 24th National Festival for Heritage and Culture, a
symposium entitled "Dialogue of Cultures between the West and Islam"
was held on Friday.


Dr. Saleh bin Homaid, the Chairman of Supreme Judicial Council
submitted a working paper dealing with the dialogue of cultures
between the West and Islam.


He highlighted the initiative of the Custodian of the Two Holy
Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on dialogue between
followers of religions and cultures, commending its religious,
humanitarian and noble objectives including the definition of Islam,
other cultures and civilizations; communication with them;
achievement of peaceful coexistence; and social security among the
peoples of the world as well as suppression of extremism.
