Deputy Chairman of Human Rights Commission Meets Italian Deputy

Riyadh, March 07, SPA--The Deputy Chairman of Human Rights Commission
Dr. Zeid Al-Hussein has met here with Italian Deputy Foreign Minister
for Gulf and Middle East Affairs Stefania Craxi during her visit and
the accompanying delegation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia last week.

The Italian Deputy Minister stressed the keenness of the
Italian Government on the development of relations with Saudi Arabia
in all fields and the exchange of experiences.
She commended the initiative of the Custodian of the Two
Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on dialogue between
followers of religions including the fight against extremism in all
religious or cultural directions, noting that all Western countries
have shown interest in the initiative.
On his part, Dr. Al-Hussein said that the King's initiative
for dialogue between civilizations aims to find a peaceful and stable
international environment based on mutual respect and equality among
different cultures and civilizations.
