Military official hails Yemeni efforts to combat piracy
ADEN, March 07 (Saba) - A British military official praised on Saturday Yemeni
coastguards' role to encounter piracy in the region, particularly the last operation
when thwarting piracy acts against a commercial Korean ship.
During his meeting with Deputy Director of Yemeni Coastguard Authority, Aden Sector,
Abdul Rahman Mosa, the Deputy Commander of Coalition Forces, Commander of the
British forces in the Middle East Lem Long hailed the advanced level the Yemeni
coastguards have achieved in securing the international marine routes in Aden Gulf.
For his part, Mosa briefed the British military official on the technical
developments the Yemeni coastguards have witnessed.
The two sides also discussed means of enhancing cooperation between the two sides in
combating piracy, noting to the cooperation relations between the Coastguard
Authority and the coalition forces located in the international Waters of Aden Gulf.
