Ambassador congratulates new BWF president

Manama, June 20 (BNA): Bahrain’s Ambassador to the U.S.A, Shaikh Abdulla bin Rashid Al Khalifa, has congratulated former Asian Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation President and Bahrain Weightlifting Federation (BWF), Sultan Al-Ghanim, on his election unopposed as BWF President. The ambassador hailed Al-Ghanim’s achievements over the past period, along with BWF’s board members, stressing that BMW’s accomplishments were the fruitful outcome of the support and directives of the Representative of HM the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, in line with the visions of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. Shaikh Abdulla bin Rashid also congratulated Sultan Al-Ghanim on election as West Asian Bodybuilding Federation President, noting that the exploit adds to the high positions held by Bahrainis at the regional and international levels, which, he said, reflects Bahrain’s advanced status.
