KALLA: GOLKAR SHOULD COME OUT AS THE WINNING PARTY
Tanjung Karang, Lampung, March 8 (ANTARA) - General Chairman of Golkar Party M Jusuf Kalla for the first time said his party should appear as the winner in the upcoming legislative general election.
"Do we wish for a presidential candidate from Golkar?" Therefore we should have a big capital by winning the legislative general election with majority votes exceeding those of other political parties," Kalla said during a get-together with his cadres in Tanjungkarang, Lampung, on Sunday.
According to him, by winning the legislative general election, the Golkar party will have a high pride. Hence, Kalla called on his cadres to work hard to win the general elections.
As a big party, Kalla said Golkar should have a broad mind for the future of the nation, a national strong mind set to build a better future for the country.
"It is for that purpose that I am ready to accept the party's mandate. As general chairman of Golkar, there is no other greater pride except receiving the party's mandate," Kalla said.
On the occasion, Kalla also explained that previously Golkar had stages and planned to announce its candidates after the result of the legislative general assembly.
Kalla also said that Golkar was a party of the nation's pride as it could accept all layers of the society including organizations. Golkar did not make any distinctions and therefore accepts anyone for the good of the nation.
