S. Korea's Shin wins HSBC tournament in Singapore
SEOUL, March 8 (Yonhap) -- British Open champion Shin Ji-yai of South Korea earned her fourth LPGA trophy Sunday with a come-from-behind victory over Australia's Katherine Hull in the HSBC Champions tournament in Singapore, her agents in Seoul said.
The 20-year-old Shin had a six-shot deficit going into the final round but she
finished with a second straight six-under-par 66 for a four-round total of 277 to
pocket the US$300,000 prize at Tanah Merah Country Club.
Hull had led by four shots after nine holes before collapsing with a double bogey
and three bogeys.
Paula Creamer and Angela Stanford of the United States and Brazil's Angela Park
tied for third.
