HRH Crown Prince meets the President of Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH)

Manama, June 24 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, today met with the President of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH), His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud.
During the meeting, HRH the Crown Prince noted the importance of preserving national heritage, stressing that Bahrain's rich culture and history play a supportive role in sustainable development. In this regard, HRH the Crown Prince highlighted Bahrain’s efforts to preserve Islamic and Arab culture while proactively engaging with other societies.
HRH the Crown Prince emphasised the extensive cooperation between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia on cultural matters, noting that their shared commitment to preserving region’s rich heritage is an indication of the close relations between the two countries.
HRH the Crown Prince welcomed HRH the President of the SCTH to the Kingdom of Bahrain, and commended his participation at the 42nd Session of the World Heritage Committee.
HRH the Crown Prince welcomed ongoing cultural cooperation between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, and emphasised the common interest both countries have in promoting their rich heritage and culture.
For his part, HRH Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud expressed gratitude for the opportunity to meet HRH the Crown Prince, and welcomed HRH the Crown Prince’s support for Bahraini-Saudi cooperation within the cultural and heritage sectors. HRH Prince Sultan went on to highlight Bahrain’s essential and successful role as host of the 42nd Session of the World Heritage Committee.
