NIHR confirms respect for human rights

Manama, June 25 (BNA): The National Institute for Human Rights (NIHR) expressed absolute respect for human rights and adherence to relevant international conventions and treaties, stressing that it is constantly working to monitor the human rights cases in Bahrain without prejudice to any of its functions. The NIHR confirmed that it has seen some reports on human rights in Bahrain, which commented on a number of cases and on judgments issued by Bahraini courts. The NIHR has always dealt with reports of human rights situations, whether national, regional or international, very seriously, it added in a statement. The institute confirmed its presence in all relevant sessions, whether civil, familial, or criminal courts, issuing a number of reports in this regard. The NIHR said that it welcomed cooperation with all concerned parties in human rights as well as complaints and requests for assistance.
