Sports Media role hailed

Manama, June 25 (BNA): Youth and Sports Affairs Minister Hesham bin Mohammed Al Jowdar has affirmed the considerable role undertaken by the Sports Media in boosting the sports activities in the Kingdom. The minister hailed the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the support from the government led by HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, affirming the attention of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the representative of HM the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, regarding the significant role and mission of Sports Media in enrichment and progress of the Bahraini sports movement. This came in the minister’s speech during a ceremony organized by the ministry and attended by veteran journalists and media people from Bahrain News agency, local newspapers, Bahrain TV sports channel and ministry officials. During the ceremony, a documentary film was displayed narrating the ministry’s accomplishments and initiatives to develop the sports movement in Bahrain. The minister honoured several media and press professionals in recognition of their role.
