GPIC support to Khalid bin Hamad Futsal praised

Manama, June 28 (BNA): HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Athletics Association and Honorary President of Bahrain Sports Federation for Disabilities, has hailed the sponsorship of Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC) to Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League, stating that the company's support will contribute to allowing the tournament achieves the desired goals set for organising it. HH Shaikh Khalid said that GPIC's move to sponsor the tournament stems from its belief in the importance of providing youth in Bahrain the opportunity to express their talents and practice sports.  From his side, Dr. Abdulrahman Jawahery, President of GPIC praised the efforts exerted by HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa to guarantee their success which is in line with the company's philosophy and long-term strategy.  Ras Ruman Pass First Test results: Ras Ruman opened their Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League campaign with a 4-2 win over East Riffa Youth Centre, held on Wednesday at Khalifa Sports City. Spearheading Ras Ruman to this victory was Qassim Hassan who bagged a hat-trick, while his teammate Kumail Bader scored their fourth goal.  Jidhafs Youth Centre stunned Jurdab Youth Centre 5-0 with Sayed Hussain Faisal scoring a brace, while the other cames came through his teammates Hussain Al Qassab, Ali Abdullah Al Alwani and Sayed Mohammed Isa, all of whom found the net once each.  Sanabis Youth Centre were among the winners on Wednesday, defeating Karzakan Youth Centre 5-2. In the last game of the day, Al Hoora Youth Centre earned a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Karanah Youth Centre.
