Bahrain-ILO cooperation discussed

Manama, June 29 (BNA): Labour and Social Development Ministry’s Undersecretary, Sabah Salim Al-Dosari, has stressed the importance of consolidating technical cooperation between Bahrain and International Labour Organisation (ILO).
Such cooperation aims to support programmes and plans to employ and rehabilitate national job-seekers, and to strengthen the role of the private sector in creating more job opportunities to attract competencies and integrate them in quality posts in various production sectors.
Al-Dosari was speaking while meeting Senior Employers' Activities Specialist at ILO Regional Office for Arab States, Lama Oueijan, with whom he discussed cooperation on the Economic Vision for Bahrain 2030, strengthening cooperation among the three production parties and the Bahrainisation of jobs at the labour market.
The undersecretary informed Oueijan about programmes to employ nationals and the incentives provided by the government to job seekers and employers to attract national manpower to the labour market, lauding ILO’s technical support to member states.
Oueijan praised the development and growth of Bahrain’s labour market, hailing the employment policies and the facilities and incentives provided by the government to the private sector to enable it to play its development role to the fullest.
