BACA chief meets South Korean delegation

Manama, June 30 (BNA): Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) President Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa received head of the South Korean delegation to the meeting of the World Heritage Committee Jong Kim at the UNESCO village. BACA Chief discussed with the South Korean delegation developments of the global session, being hosted and chaired by the Kingdom of Bahrain, which started on the 24th of June and will run until the 4th of July. She commended the South Korean delegation to conserve local historical sites, including the Sansa Buddhist mountain monasteries located throughout the southern provinces of the Korean Peninsula. The South Korean delegation chairman commended the Kingdom of Bahrain for hosting and presiding over the 42nd session of the World Heritage Committee.
