Oil Minister receives the GCU's General Secretary

Manama, July 8 (BNA): Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Oil Minister, received Dr. Abdulwahid Al Nakal, President of the Bahraini Chemists Association, who introduced to him Jamal bin Nasser Al Otaibi, Secretary General of the Gulf Chemists Union (GCU) and the accompanying delegation, in the premises of the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA). The minister noted the role of the Union in contributing to the development of the Gulf Arena in the field of chemistry, in order to achieve the requirements of the Gulf Renaissance. He wished them success and hoping to achieve their future aspirations and reach their objectives of sustainable development of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries in the field of chemistry and other related fields. Al Otaibi thanked the minister for his support, that the Union has enjoyed in all activities and programmes since its establishment, and the emphasis on communicating with different GCC and foreign chemical organisations, institutions, bodies and associations with a view in promoting linkages, exchange of experience and cooperation. In addition, to develop various specialised programmes in universities and institutes specialising in chemistry, in line with up-to-date programmes similar to the developed countries. Dr. Al Nakal extended many thanks and appreciation to the minister on the good reception and important topics that were discussed regarding the oil sector, noting that the minister was keen to support all activities and programmes carried out by the Union.
