NGAWI POLICE SEIZES MILLIONS WORTH OF FAKE RUPIAH BILLS

Ngawi,E. Java, Mar 10 (ANTARA) - Ngawi police in East Java seized dozens of fake Rp100,000, Rp50,000, and Rp20,000 bills worth Rp5.3 million.

"We have also arrested IK (37) of Mantingan subdistrict, Ngawi, on suspicion of printing and circulating the money," Ngawi chief police detective Adjunct Commissioner Sujarwanto said.
He said the police also confiscated Rp 352,000 in good money, a cell phone, a computer set, a scanner and a printer.
"The police also confiscated a water pistol", he said.
He said the police had been alerted by a villager who had received the a fake rupiah bill, which led to the arrest of IK.
