HRH Crown Prince meets India’s Minister of External Affairs

Manama, July 15 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, today met the Minister of External Affairs for the Republic of India, Her Excellency Sushma Swaraj, at Riffa Palace. Bahrain’s Foreign Minister His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa attended the meeting. During the meeting, His Royal Highness and the Minister of External Affairs noted the strength of long-standing bilateral ties between India and Bahrain. His Royal Highness and the Minister of External Affairs highlighted the important role played by the India-Bahrain High Joint Commission in broadening cooperation between both countries. His Royal Highness and the Minister of External Affairs went on to discuss regional and international issues of common interest, including joint efforts to support peace and prosperity on the global level. His Royal Highness concluded by extending his congratulations to the Minister of External Affairs on the opening of the new Indian Embassy building, which he noted reflects both countries’ commitment to advancing the bilateral relationship. For her part, Her Excellency expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to meet with His Royal Highness, and noted the important role His Royal Highness plays in strengthening bilateral ties across various fields.
