IIRO extends Relief Assistance to Palestinians in Gaza

Jeddah, March 10, SPA -- The International Islamic Relief
Organization (IIRO), Saudi Arabia, has recently extended relief
assistance to the Palestinians in Gaza amounting to about SR 2
million.


IIRO's Secretary General Dr Adnan Basha said the relief assistance
was sent aboard 17 trucks carrying about 220 tons of food materials
and medical supplies.


He noted that the relief assistance was extended to the Palestinians
in coordination with the Jordanian Charitable Hashemite Commission
and UNRWA.


Dr Basha pointed out that the IIRO is planning to extend more
assistance to the people of Gaza.
