Hi-tech medical system donated to Salmaniya Hospital

Manama, July24 (BNA): Bahrain Cancer Society (BCS) has donated a Medtronic Neuronavigation System to the Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC). Health Minister Faeqa bint Said Al-Saleh and other senior officials received the BD200,000 hi-tech machine from the BCS chairman Dr. Abdulrahman Fakhro and board members.
She thanked the association, commending its important role in cooperating with the Ministry of Health and providing cutting edge medical equipment to diagnose the disease, enhance awareness and supply patients with financial and moral support. She stressed the importance of the Medtronic Neuronavigation System which, she said, will represent a quantum leap for SMC brain and nervous system surgery.
Dr. Fakhro extended sincerest thanks to Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al-Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King, President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW) and Honorary President of the Bahrain Cancer Society, hailing her directives, constant follow-up and support to the activities of the association.
He extended thanks to the board members, national sponsoring enterprises, companies and banks, as well as individuals, hailing their generous donations to purchase the Medtronic Neuronavigation System. Patients’ Support Group Chairperson Dana Fakhro stressed the dedication of the Bahrain Cancer Society, since its inception, to provide every assistance to patients and their parents to alleviate their suffering and support the efforts exerted by the Ministry of Health.
