Deputy Premier receives Huawei officials

Manama, July 25 (BNA): Deputy Prime Minister His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa received Huawei's Regional President for Middle East, Yang Yougui, and Huawei Bahrain CEO Lu Yuedong. HH Shaikh Mohammed reiterated the strong ties between Bahrain and China in light of their shared interests, reinforced by the visit of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to China in 2013. His Highness reviewed with Huawei officials the company's activities in the Kingdom in the ICT field, lauding the company's efforts in supporting developing the bilateral ties between the two countries. Yuedong expressed his appreciation to the deputy Premier, affirming that the company seeks to strengthen its activities and ensure that Bahrain is a model for applying the latest technologies in services related to communications and smart cities, wishing Bahrain further progress, growth and prosperity.
