Ambassador meets Indonesian journalists

Jakarta, July 25 (BNA): The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Republic of Indonesia, Dr. Mohammed Ghassan Mohammed Adnan Sheikho, met a number of Indonesian journalists at the Embassy’s headquarters here. Dr. Mohammed Ghassan Sheikho reviewed the achievements of the Kingdom of Bahrain in reaching Tier 1 Status in the US Department of State Trafficking in Persons (TiP) Report, as the first country in the Middle East to reach such status. He attributed this achievement to the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the support of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier. While referring to the Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa Global Award for Women's Empowerment, the ambassador highlighted the pioneering role of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, in the field of women empowerment. He also referred to the Kingdom’s achievement in the Third West Asian Athletics Championship, held in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on June 8-11, 2018, in which the Kingdom achieved 35 medals including 20 gold medals. He noted that this achievement is the result of the support of the the Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and the First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the West Asian Athletics Association, and President of the Bahrain Athletics Association (BAA), His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
